Banner Ads

Make your message move and attract online. It's proven that animated banner ads get higher click-through rates than static online ads.

There is no universal standard for naming, sizes, or file sizes for online advertising. "Banners" mostly refer to wide ads, while "towers" and "super towers" refer to taller ads. Ads, when clickable, are commonly linked to a "landing page" where the product, service, or more information is available.

Gif animations can be simple and therefore quite affordable.

ANIMATED GIFS VS. FLASH: Gif files have up to 254 colors and are smaller in file size and therefore load quicker. Flash files are more accurate in color and can be more advanced with more features. However, only gif files can be used in emails. All animated samples on this page are gifs.



To produce a softer transition, more frames (also called "stages") are added where various transparencies are applied. Gif animations can have up to 100 frames per second. Sample above is a logo on a Web site.




We prefer to prepare gif animations using a combination of Adobe CS4 programs such as InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. The final animation is prepared in and exported from Adobe Fireworks CS4.
